A Personal Invitation:
Inner-city living; not for the faint of heart,
Addictions, death and poverty, play their usual part
Now, factor in depression which diminishes self-esteem
And the hearts, so broken, they no longer dream.
'Hollywood' news reporters, add insult to injury
Detailing acts of wickedness, with a bit of comedy
Is is any wonder, why our future looks so grim?
Living in these circumstances, would you expect to win?
'City life' used to be like one big family,
Saturdays at the matinee, and Sundays 'homework free'
Today, our children lack 'direction', left to raise themselves
Entertained by video games, their talents sit on a shelf
Parents look to teachers and, teachers look to them
The light at the end of the tunnel, continues to grow dim
Enter: The Life Center of Boston. The answer to a prayer
In this place, people are refreshed, because of the love that's there.
Our guests are not statistics. Thay have faces and a name
Change is likely to take place, when failed policies remain
It's time to 'think outside the box', beyond our comfort zone,
Giving it, everything we have, but we can't do it alone.
With volunteers and our dedicated staff, we're giving it a 'go'
How can we fail with a host of mentors, like Bob, Kern and Joe?
We teach young people to believe that dreams can be achieved
And the limitations spoken over their lives are not to be received.
That each of us has value, and we're precious in God's sight,
Destined to live a victorious life, when they choose to do what's right.
Poor choices bear untold consequences that can hurt the ones they love
Don't take our word, we got it straight from our Heavenly Father, above.
So join us, take a stand. Don't let this day pass by.
Call today. Please, don't delay. We can do this if we try.
